Sports Betting Terms
1. Basic Definitions and Types of Bets
A sports bet is a prediction backed by money. It becomes valid only when the system accepts it and shows a confirmation number. Until then, it does not count. Bets made after an event has started are cancelled unless they belong to live markets. All event times follow the official schedule. If a technical error or suspicious action occurs, the company can void the wager.
A market is a specific betting option. Each market settles using the results published by the official organiser or federation. The result announced right after the event ends is considered final. Later changes — appeals, disqualifications, or corrections — do not affect settled bets.
Two-way and three-way markets work differently. A two-way market offers two outcomes: one side wins, or the other does. A three-way market adds a draw option — common in football. Unless stated, only the result in regular time counts.
Handicap bets adjust scores to balance the match. The stronger team starts with a negative number; the weaker gets a positive one. The outcome is calculated after this adjustment. Asian handicaps may include half or quarter goals. They can lead to half-wins or half-losses. If the adjusted score ends level, the stake is refunded.
Totals predict the number of goals, points, or runs. You bet whether the total will go over or under the listed line. Half totals (like 2.5) avoid draws. Whole numbers can create a push — the bet is void if the total matches exactly.
Double Chance combines two outcomes in one. For example, one team to win or draw. The chance of success grows, but odds drop. Draw No Bet cancels the wager if the match ends level.
Correct Score means guessing the exact result. Extra time or penalties don’t count unless clearly mentioned. Race to N Goals or Points asks which team reaches a given number first. If no one does before the match ends, the bet is void.
If an event is postponed, bets stay valid for 48 hours. If it still doesn’t start, all are void. When an event starts but is abandoned, settlement depends on what already happened. If the market’s result is decided — for instance, “First Goal” after a goal — it stands. Otherwise, the stake returns.
A void bet gives the money back. It’s not a win or a loss. Common reasons are event cancellation, wrong listing, or acceptance after start time. The same rule applies when a player or team is replaced before play begins.
General principles cover all sports unless exceptions apply. Bets settle after regular time. Extra periods or overtime count only if stated in the market rules. All figures come from official, verified data. If sources differ, the operator uses the main official record. That decision is final.
Each user must understand the market before betting. Once confirmed, a wager can’t be edited or withdrawn. If the system closes or suspends the market first, the stake returns automatically. The process stays clear: valid bets stand, cancelled ones come back.
2. Rules for Major Team Sports
Football
All football bets are settled on the score at the end of regular time — ninety minutes plus injury time. Extra time and penalty shootouts count only if a market specifically mentions them. If a match gets postponed and doesn’t start again within forty-eight hours, all bets are cancelled. But if the game begins and then stops midway, only the markets with a clear outcome stay valid — for example, First Goal or To Score in the First Half.
Main markets include Match Result (1X2), Double Chance, Draw No Bet, Over/Under Goals, Both Teams to Score, and Correct Score. In “Match Result,” outcomes are Home Win, Draw, or Away Win. “Double Chance” combines two of these three possibilities in one bet. “Over/Under” totals count all goals scored in normal time. For “Both Teams to Score,” only goals within regular play count; own goals are included.
For Handicap markets, the virtual adjustment applies before the game begins. For example, if Team A has –1.0 and the final score is 2–1, the adjusted result becomes 1–1 and the bet is void. “Asian Handicap” bets use split lines such as –0.25 or +0.75, allowing partial wins or losses.
If a venue changes but the home and away teams remain the same, bets stand. If the order of teams reverses, all bets are cancelled. For international matches, a change of stadium does not affect validity unless the match moves to another country.
Basketball
All basketball bets include overtime unless the market states otherwise. “Match Winner” and “Handicap” markets settle on the final official result. “Total Points” markets include points from all periods and overtime.
If a game is cancelled or abandoned before full time and not completed within forty-eight hours, bets are void. For player statistics, such as “Player Points” or “Rebounds,” the named athlete must take part in the game for at least one second. If not, bets are cancelled.
Baseball
In baseball, a game must reach at least five full innings for bets to stand. If it is called before that, all wagers are void except for markets whose result is already known — such as “First Home Run.” If a game goes into extra innings, all “Match Winner” markets include those results unless stated otherwise.
Starting pitchers matter in baseball betting. If the named starter changes before the first pitch, any bets linked to that player are cancelled. Totals and Run Line markets settle based on the official result once the full game is played or officially ended.
Ice Hockey
For hockey, “Match Result” refers to sixty minutes of play only — three regular periods. Overtime and penalty shootouts apply only in markets clearly marked “Including Overtime.” In tournaments or playoffs, “To Qualify” or “Series Winner” markets include overtime and shootouts by default.
If a match is suspended and not resumed within forty-eight hours, all bets are void except those whose results are final. Player markets require the listed athlete to appear on the ice for settlement.
American Football
All NFL and college football bets include overtime unless the market says “Regular Time Only.” For “Match Winner,” “Handicap,” and “Totals,” the final score after overtime decides settlement. If a game is abandoned after fifty-five minutes of play, all results stand as official. If stopped earlier, bets are void unless already decided.
Prop markets — such as “First Touchdown Scorer” or “Team to Score First” — remain valid if the event occurred before the stoppage. Player markets are void if the named player does not participate.
Cricket
Cricket matches can end early due to weather or external conditions. All markets settle according to official results as declared by the governing board. If a match is cancelled or postponed before any ball is bowled, all bets are void. If play begins but no official result is declared, markets remain unsettled until confirmation.
For Limited Overs formats (ODI, T20), all bets depend on official completion. “Top Batsman,” “Top Bowler,” and similar markets count only if the player appears in the match. If two players share the same number of runs or wickets, the dead heat rule applies — the payout divides equally between winners.
General Team-Sport Conditions
For all sports, bets stand if the match starts within forty-eight hours of the scheduled time. If it is not played within that period, wagers are void. If a match restarts after being suspended and finishes within that same window, bets remain valid.
Markets like “Team to Score First,” “Race to N Points,” or “Winning Margin” settle immediately when the condition is met. Cancellations afterward do not affect them. “Half-Time/Full-Time” markets count only when both periods are played in full.
If a game ends in a tie where no draw option was offered, “Match Winner” bets are void. In “Handicap” markets, a tie after adjustment also causes a refund.
Results are always based on official league or federation data. If different data sources conflict, the operator uses the official match record published by the governing body. That decision is final.
All team sports follow the same principle: once a result is officially announced, settlement is made. Later protests, appeals, or corrections have no effect on completed bets.
3. Rules for Individual Sports
Tennis
In tennis, it’s simple — only the official result counts. If a player retires, gets hurt, or is disqualified before the first set is done, every bet on that match gets cancelled. But once one full set has been played, bets stay valid for any markets that can already be decided.
For Match Winner bets, whoever officially moves on or gets awarded the win is the winner. Set Betting goes by the final score, tie-breaks included. Total Games and Handicap Games count every game that’s completed. If someone retires mid-match, those bets stand only if the outcome is already clear.
For Tournament Winner wagers, it all comes down to when the trophy is officially handed over. If a player withdraws before their first match, bets on them are cancelled. In doubles, if one player is replaced before the start, bets on that pair are void too.
Boxing and MMA
In fighting sports, once the first bell rings, the contest is official. If a fighter doesn’t show up, bets are off. Match Winner covers every way a fight can end — knockout, technical knockout, submission, or judges’ decision. Round Betting depends on which round the fight finishes in.
If it ends as a Draw or No Contest, all Match Winner bets are void unless that specific outcome was listed. Method of Victory includes five options — Knockout, Technical Knockout, Submission, Decision, and Disqualification. Everything goes by the official result announced right after the fight.
If the number of rounds changes before the fight starts, Round Total and Exact Round bets are cancelled. If it happens during the fight, only the unaffected markets stay active.
Golf
Golf betting follows the official scorecards and leaderboards. The player must start the first round for a bet to stand; if they withdraw beforehand, it’s void. In Match Betting, both players must start the same round — if one quits midway, the other is the winner.
If weather or officials shorten the tournament, results still stand as long as at least one round is finished and confirmed. Top Player and Group Betting use final positions, and ties follow the dead heat rule.
Athletics
All track and field bets go by official event results. Later appeals or disqualifications don’t change settled wagers. If an athlete pulls out before the start, bets on them are cancelled.
In Head-to-Head markets, both need to start. The higher finisher wins. If neither competes, all bets are void.
Snooker and Darts
A snooker or darts match becomes official once the first frame or leg begins. If a player doesn’t appear, bets are cancelled. Match Winner goes to whoever wins the most frames or legs. If the number of scheduled frames changes, all handicap and total markets are void.
Correct Score bets must match the final result exactly. Special markets like Highest Break or Most 180s are settled using official tournament stats.
Cycling and Motorsports
Cycling bets rely on official stage or race classifications. If a rider withdraws before the start, the bet is void. In Head-to-Head bets, both riders need to start — if neither finishes, everything is cancelled.
In Formula 1, MotoGP, or similar racing sports, settlements follow the official podium right after the race. Later penalties or protests don’t change finished bets. If the race ends early but an official result is declared, that result stands. Fastest Lap and Winning Margin bets rely on verified timing data.
Esports
Esports bets follow the official results released by the tournament organiser. The match must begin for bets to count. If it’s postponed or moved, bets remain valid for forty-eight hours. If a team changes name or player but still competes, wagers stand; if it’s replaced entirely, they’re void.
In Match Winner, the team that wins the most maps or rounds takes it. Map Handicap and Total Maps depend on how many maps are actually played. If the format changes — say, from best-of-five to best-of-three — any market tied to total maps is cancelled.
Across all these sports, the same thing applies: once an event begins, only official, confirmed results count. No speculation, no rewrites — just what’s declared at the end.
General Rules for Individual Sports
If an event starts but cannot finish, bets remain valid only for markets whose outcome is already determined. If no result can be declared, the stake returns to the player.
Dead heat rules apply when two or more participants share the same position. In such cases, the payout divides equally among the winners. Official data from the organising body always serves as the final source for results and statistics.
Each player or bettor must ensure they understand the market before confirming a wager. Once accepted, a bet cannot be cancelled. Transparency, verified data, and consistent settlement methods apply across all individual sports to maintain a clear and fair process.
Settlement and Disputes
All bets settle using results confirmed by the official organisers. The bookmaker may consult data providers, but the governing body’s record always has final authority.
If you believe your bet was settled incorrectly, contact support through the form or email listed on the site. Provide the bet ID, event name, and, if possible, screenshots. Each complaint is checked against system logs and match data.
If disagreement remains after review, you can appeal to an independent dispute body licensed in Curaçao. Its decision is binding for both parties.
